Team India

Zaheer Khan is the spearhead of Indian bowling attack in recent times. He has evolved as a reliable option for captain in times when break throughs are needed. He started his career in in the year 2000 with an ODI against Kenya in ICC Champions Trophy. He was selected in 2000 for the first intake of the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. Zaheer Khan is rated in the class fo Wasim Akram & Waqar Younis and he can swin the ball both ways.






Ashish Nehra is an excellent left-handed line and length bowler with an excellent late inswinger. After an excellent debut tour of Zimbabwe, he struggled to establish himself in both the Test and ODI teams. His best figures of six for 23 against England came during the 2003 World Cup in South Africa. He also claimed six for 59 against Sri Lanka in 2005. After injuries and poor form kept him out of the side for a few years, he regained a place in the ODI team in 2009 on the back of an excellent IPL. st Player of the Year for 2009

Gautam Gambhir was brought up by his grand parents and is very close to his sister. He discusses all his achievements and failures with her as he feels his parents get a little agitated when it comes to cricket. He also has a never say die attitude which helped him during the time when he was out of the team. He agrees that he is short tempered but believes that he has learnt to manage his anger well now. He has no plans of getting married and wishes to concentrate on cricket. More than watching movies, he likes to listen to soul full music as it gives him peace of mind and ease him during trying situations. he is a quite an introvert person and does not enjoy the media glare much.



Praveen Kumar is an Indian cricketer. In first class cricket, he plays for Uttar Pradesh. He is a right-arm medium pace bowler who relies on his ability to swing the ball both ways along with line and length over speed. Because of his ability to swing the ball, he is most effective when given the new ball. Kumar is also considered as a pinch hitter with the bat. In domestic cricket, he has also opened the batting for his side. Kumar plays his domestic cricket for Uttar Pradesh. He made his first-class debut in 2004 and enjoyed success at this level by taking 126 wickets in 25 matches at an average of just 21.50. He has also excelled at the shorter version of the game at the list A level, taking 67 wickets in 39 matches at an average of 22.05.

Harbhajan Singh is an ace Indian off spinner who holds the record of being the first Indian to take a hat trick in tst cricket. he started his international cricket career in the year 1998 with a test match against Australia. Since then, Bhaaji has come a long way from being a second feedle to Anil Kumble to become the epicentre of Indian bowling attack. His aggressive bowling has made many teams dance to his spinning tunes. He started his cricket training as a batsman but went on to bowlng after the death of his first coach. After his father's death in 2000, Harbhajan became the head of the family and has organized wedding of his five sisters.
 
Suresh Raina became the 10th ODI player to notch three consecutive Man-of-the-Match awards. He accomplished the recognition with knocks of 101, 84 and 116* against Hong Kong, Pakistan and Bangladesh respectively. Raina became the third overall and the first Indian to score a T20I century (101 vs South Africa in the 2010 World T20). He holds the record for playing the maximum number of ODIs (98) before behind handed a Test debut, beating Australian Andrew Symonds' 94.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the captain of Indian cricket team and holds reputation as the popular sports icon of India. Coming from a backward state of Jharkhand, Dhoni has tasted success to its extreme in all aspects of life. He is the most sucessfull captain of India. His exceptional leadership qualities and calm composures have won him praises from round the world. Rated as the number one ODI batsman in international cricket, MSD is considered as the face of Youngistan. The ICC T20 world cup is the jwell of his crown. Dhoni is a freak of bikes and owns a few imported ones like Harley Davidson.


Sachin Tendulkar gives most of the credit for his cricketing success to his father, elder brother Ajit and his coach Ramakant Achrekar under whose tutorage he blossomed at Sharadashram Vidyamandir. It is said that Sachin went to the popular MRF Pace Foundation in Chennai to get trained to become a fast bowler. He was however advised by the great Sir Dennis Lillie to concentrate on his batting. And the rest as we all know is history. Sachin Tendulkar is now the leading run scorer in both forms of the game i.e. Test matches and One Day Internationals and looks all set to add more to his tally by the time he retires from international cricket.


Virat Kohli moved towards in the highlight when he made ninety runs for the Delhi in a Ranji Trophy match that was against the Karnatak Kohli made a century for the India in the final against the South Africa in Emerging Players Tournament that was held in Australia the year 2009. He emerged as a leading batsman and good run scorer. Kohli played in the Indian Premier League for the team Royal Challenger Bangalore in the year 2008 and 2009.



 Virender Sehwag can be termed as the backbone of Indian batting line up in all formats of the game. Since his debut, he has been an excellent ambassador for Indian cricket. His exceptional hand eye coordination and ability to hit really big shots takes him to a special class of his own. Sehwag brought a revolution in Indian cricket with his brave and fierce hitting skills and a determination to take on every bowling attack. On his day he can tear the opposition bowling attack into large chunks. For his exceelnt contribution to Indian cricket, he has been faciltated with state honors like Bharat Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan.


Yusuf Pathan first made his mark as a hard-hitting batsman and offspinner for the Baroda Under-16 team in the Vijay Merchant Trophy in 1999-2000. His impressive showings saw him quickly climb the rungs to the Baroda U-19 and the West Zone U-19 sides. He made his Ranji debut against Saurashtra in 2001-02, but it wasn't until the 2004-05 season, by when younger brother Irfan Pathan was donning the national colours, that he established himself as a regular in the Baroda squad. He ended the 2004-05 season as Baroda's fourth-highest scorer and third-highest wicket-taker. Following his impressive performances in the 2007 Deodhar Trophy and the Inter-state domestic Twenty20 competition held in April 2007, Pathan was made a part of the Indian squad for the inaugural Twenty20 World Championship, held in South Africa in September 2007. He made his Twenty20 international debut in the final against Pakistan. He opened the batting for India in the match, and scored 15 runs in the process.


Yuvraj Singh is primarily a left-handed batsman but can bowl part-time left-arm spin. He can demolish pace bowling and his aggressive style of batting is a cause of nughtmare for spin bowlers all over the world. He is seen as part of the blue brigade who form the nucleus of the Indian team. He is also a great asset in the field. His excellent fielding skills and some exuberant catches along with bulls eye target on the stumps make him a trump card for the captain. His muscular hitting and flambuyont attitude on the field makes the nation dance to his fours and sixes.
