Google+ Pages

 Google + Pages

The most awaited Google+ Brand Pages have finally hit the networking platform. This will allow the businesses and brands to become a part of Google+, social networking undertaking.

Vic Gundotra, the Senior Vice-President of Google’s Social Business mentioned in a blog post, “So far Google+ has focused on connecting people with other people… But we want to make sure you can build relationships with all the things your care about – from local businesses to global brands – so today we’re rolling out Google+ Pages worldwide.”
There aren’t many differences in the looks of Google+ brand pages when compared with the Google+ Profiles. However, there’s a small square icon which specifies that it isn’t a Profile but a Page.

It is possible for the users to have the brands like Fox News, Angry Birds, the Dallas Cowboys and so on into their Circles. Checking information and browsing photos is equally possible. On adding a brand to your Circle, you’ll find an increase in the brand’s follower count.
CNN, Fox News, Pepsi, Angry Birds, the Muppets, X Games, the Dallas Cowboys, Toyota, Marcy’s, Barcelona Football Club, Train, WWE, and Save the Children are launch partners of Google in the process.
A couple of months back when Google+ had just come up, businesses and brands were pretty happy to have found a new opportunity for brand awareness and exposure; however, they were soon disappointed as Google ceased the brands and businesses from creating their Google+ profiles. This then created a kind of controversy which is supposed to be one of the major reasons behind the coming up of Google+ Brand Pages.
